Add Page Numbers

Upload one PDF, choose position, start number, size, and optionally skip the first page, then export a numbered copy directly in your browser.

Accepted: PDF. Adds page numbers at a chosen position (top/bottom, left/center/right) with configurable size. Optional skip of first page. No headers, footers, or custom placement designer. Browser-side only. Large PDFs may fail on phones or low-memory devices. Password-protected PDFs may fail. Not a full PDF editor.

How to use

Add Page Numbers inserts sequential numbers onto every page of a PDF document in your browser. Useful for reports, contracts, and any document that needs navigable page references.

  1. Upload your PDF

Select the PDF you want to number. A preview helps you check the layout before committing.

  2. Configure numbering

Choose the position (bottom-center, bottom-right, etc.), the starting number, the font size, and any optional prefix or suffix such as 'Page 1 of N'.

  3. Apply numbers

Click Apply. The browser adds numbers to every page using PDF-lib, without uploading the file.

  4. Download the numbered PDF

Download the result and verify the number placement on a few pages before distributing the document.

Tip: If the document already has a title page you want unnumbered, start the numbering from page 2.
